Montage: Activity 3

The limits that I would impose are that the manipulations that you make can't be extremely offensive to some people. Also it can't be false advertisement, the picture has to be true to what point your trying to make and you can't just photoshop it to make it look bad. If you photoshop it then it would have to be obviously not reality, you can't make it look like its actually happening. The last thing is that it has to e appropriate for children and young teenagers because what they put out can be seem by anybody.

Montage: Activity 2

  • It seems that this picture was taken during a time of war. I think this symbolizes killing peace or breaking of peace. White doves is a known symbol of peace. The knife going through it showing the ending/killing/disturbing of that "peace".

This picture was definitely taken during WWII, I know this because of
Hitler being used. I think this picture is symbolizing hitler watering the plant of all the Nazis Like he was just growing and threading the ideas into their minds. Everyone hated Hitler so his would be for any US citizen showing the hatred.

Montage: Activity 1

This type of picture might have been controversial during the Victorian Period because that time period was very strict in the way people expressed themselves and they might think this style is a little different and unacceptable. The general public would like it because it was something completely different.

I think the reasons for comeback is because of how big Photoshop is and how many people like to play around with it. also the people looking at the pictures like to know who was behind the camera and this lets them see who it is.

Self image: Activity 3

Most teenage girls perception of their own beauty is really low, So many young girl struggle with comparing themselves with other girls in their classes, family members, or celerities. Its really important for young girls to realize their own self worth and grow some confidence; everybody looks different and their all beautiful in their own way. Some girls are good at that on their own but some need role models or support systems to help them believe they are beautiful. For me I have my mom, she is always there to support me. If there was anybody that I believed has influenced me on the way I dress or handle myself it would be her

1. I do believe that the media characterizes beauty and creates sorts of standards for people around the world. It makes people think that you have to look like the celebrities to be considered beautiful. But there are also ugly celebreties and people who have become extremely successful and rich not only for their looks but from their accomplishments and drive.

2. I do believe that people who are continuously admiring the "beauty" in media can cause harm to themselves. If someone is constantly looking at beautiful celebrities and wishing that they looked like them their self-esteem and could cause eating disorder. They would think that since they cant change their face to look a certain celebrity they could make their body look like them, and some people think the only way to achieve that is to starve themselves.

Self Image: Activity 1

1. Age/Generation: I'm a teenage girl and this picture portrays my generation because a lot of other teenage girl take selfies with each other and also we like to hang out and play on our phones a lot of the time.

2. Gender: I'm a female and they're sometimes depicted as lesser or weak than men but this picture is just saying that that's not necessarily true.
 3. Race: I'm white and being a white teenage girl comes with a lot of stereotypes. A lot of people make fun of "typical white girls".
4. Religion: I guess if I had to pick a religion for myself it would be agnostic. which is basically you don't know if there's a God or not and don't really believe in any kind of religion.

5. Class/Caste: I would consider myself middle class. I dont live in a enormous house and I can't just but expensive cars or absolutely everything I wanted ; but I live in a pretty big house and have everything I need and then some.

6. Personality: I would consider myself an Ambivert which is a balance between extrovert and introvert. I don't just talk all the time to everyone around me and I also don't just talk to nobody and keep to myself all the time.

  7. Intelligence: I would consider myself pretty smart but I just don't have any work tactic and I'm lazy when it comes to school work. But I'm not a stupid person.

8. Political persuasion: I don't have any particular political party. I think its just because I'm young though because I'm sure when I'm older I'll care, I just don't right now.
